Square Enix has shared a new interesting tweet regarding Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Original concept art for the Section 1 Station is revealed, showcasing the aesthetic that the development team was going for. We then see how that translates to in-game, as Cloud faces off against several guards. Check it out below.
Described as being “divided into the slums and the plates that line up above”, Midgar’s main traversal is via train. It’s interesting to note that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be expanding significantly on Midgar compared to the original game. In fact, the entire first game in the series will focus on Midgar and end with the escape from it.
Last week, the developer released more concept art showcasing Midgar’s Mako Reactor and how it looks in-game. So far, we’re very impressed by how well the team’s art design is looking in the actual game. Unfortunately, we still have a ways to go before actually playing Final Fantasy 7 Remake. It’s out on March 3rd, 2020 for PS4 (with no plans for release on other platforms).
Here's a piece of original concept art featuring the Sector 1 Station in #FinalFantasy VII Remake.
Midgar is divided into the slums & the plates that line up above, and you travel between them by train. The station's fairly well guarded too, as Cloud's finding out…! #FF7R pic.twitter.com/wSqjB0rwuN
