Hironobu-Sakaguchi

After teasing the same last week, Famitsu (via NeoGAF) revealed that Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and Mistwalker will be creating Terra Battle, a new free to play mobile RPG. It will be releasing on iOS and Android in Japan in September and will be developed in a way such that players won’t have to engage in micro-transactions to enjoy it.

Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu will also be working on Terra Battles in which he will be composing 20 tracks. Sakaguchi will be serving as Producer on the project and expressed his interest to bring Terra Battle to consoles at some point. He didn’t say which consoles though and when exactly that would happen. For now, we’ll be waiting to see how it fares on mobiles.

Mistwalker’s previous titles include The Last Story, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon which all released on consoles. What are your thoughts on Terra Battle? Let us know in the comments.
