Final Fantasy VII Remake’s Newest Video Shows Off Aerith’s Tempest Attack

Look, she can actually deal damage now!

Final Fantasy 7 Remake (1)

Final Fantasy VII Remake isn’t a remake as much as it is a retelling of the story in an entirely new format. One of the most significant and dramatic changes the game has seen is the addition of a new real time battle system. That obviously opens the potential (and even the need) for more offensive and defensive capabilities than the characters may have had before.

Showing off the new special attack for one of the characters is what the newest video for Final Fantasy VII Remake, shared on the game’s official Twitter account, focuses on. In this case, the character is Aerith, and her  special attack is named Tempest. It should help her be more self-sufficient in battle this time around (given how famously useless she was in the original game, at least at straight offence).

It will also help her in one of the many new boss battles this game will have (especially since it seems like she will be one of the core party members through the whole play time of this first entry). Final Fantasy VII Remake launches for PS4 on March 3, 2020.
