Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn gets a launch date along with pre-order details

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released on August 27th on PlayStation 3 and PC, Square-Enix has confirmed. The game will be subscription based and will start at £7.69/€10.99/$12.99 a month.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the release date of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn,” says Producer & Director Naoki Yoshida

Square-Enix has also given the details regarding the pre-order incentives for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Pre-ordering standard edition will grant you an early access to playing the game before the it actually launches. You will also receive a Cait Sith Doll Minion who will follow you throughout your entire adventure as a companion pet.

Last. but not least you will get to wear a cute Moogle themed hat and walk around in style.

Pre-ordering the collectors edition of the game will include many more bonuses, as opposed to the standard edition such as the unique Collector’s Box that is designed by Yoshitaka Amano, an 80-page “Art of Eorzea” hardcover art book, “The Waning of the Sixth Sun,” which is a bonus video CD with cinematics, “Sounds of Eorzea” a soundtrack disc, five collectible character art cards, a Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn security token that will keep your account safe and an in-game Helm of Light, Couerl Mount, Behemoth Barding and Baby Behemoth minion.
