Final Fantasy XV Announced For Xbox One

The eagerly anticipated title not a PS4 exclusive.

Arguably the biggest megaton at Sony’s conference yesterday was Final Fantasy Versus XIII, renamed as Final Fantasy XV, coming to the Playstation 4. And while Sony and Square Enix both took great care to avoid the term ‘exclusive’ while announcing it, for many, it was a given that it would be a PS4 exclusive, because why wouldn’t it be?

As it turns out, it isn’t. Today, the title was announced for Microsoft’s Xbox One as well. When questioned as to why the formerly Playstation exclusive (when it was Versus XIII) title was announced for the Xbox as well, producer Shinji Hashimoto noted that the move was made to reach the highest number of fans possible.

As of right now, no Wii U or Playstation 3 (the platform the game was originally on) version of the title has been announced. No release date for the game has been announced. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for more coverage of the anticipated title.
