Forever Entertainment Partners With Square Enix To Do Remakes Of Unnamed Property

But what property is the question.

Square Enix

Last year we saw the remake of Panzer Dragoon from Forever Entertainment. While there was some mixed reception to the game, it helped to revive a long dormant franchise with a second one in the works. Now the developer behind that remake, Forever Entertainment, will be working with another big Japanese publisher.

It was announced that Forever is now partnering with Square Enix to do remakes of a property for them. It was said that the remakes would include updated graphics but retain the same stories and gameplay from the original, which is similar to what the company did with Panzer Dragoon.

The IP in question is not named here, however. Most likely it’s not one of Square’s bigger properties, such as a Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest, as the company would do those internally on their own. Even for their smaller franchises, such as the upcoming SaGa Frontier remaster, the company does themselves. But Square has a ton of properties, even some western ones from their purchase years ago of Eidos. Hopefully, we’ll find out soon.
