Former FOX Engine Lead Is Sure that Hideo Kojima’s Next Game Is Going To Be “Extraordinary”

Of course it will be- it's a Kojima game, after all.

Julien Merceron, who recently joined Bandai Namco, but who worked with Konami before that, heading the development of the excellent FOX Engine that was showcased in PES 2016 and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain this year, believes that Hideo Kojima’s next game is going to be something extraordinary, DualShockers reports.

Merceron stated that he would like to work with Kojima again one day in the future, though naturally, for now, they have both gone their own separate paths. That said, he also said that he is sure that Kojima’s next game, whatever it is, will be extraordinary.

Of course, Merceron really has no insight into what Kojima is doing right now, and is just expressing his belief on faith- which is, after all, what everyone else has been doing so far. It’s not an unreasonable supposition either, given Kojima’s track record. It’s also nice to see that though the team may be disbanded, everyone who worked on Metal Gear ultimately continues to have faith in its creator. For Kojima, that is probably the most heartening thing.
