Battle with snipers (and a few revolvers) until February 2nd.

Fortnite Battle Royale

After a number of issues associated with its last update, Epic Games’ Fortnite: Battle Royale has received a new limited time mode called Sniper Shootout. It’s currently live on Xbox One, PS4 and PC till February 2nd.

As the name indicates, Sniper Shootout is all about battling with sniper rifles. Almost every weapon on the map has been replaced with sniper rifles with a few revolvers here and there for close-up encounters. Grenades are gone though consumables are still very much present.

Given the new areas available in the map, like the new cityscape, it should be interesting to see how Sniper Shootout works. We don’t know what mode will replace it afterwards but it would be fun if the stealth-based or 50v50 modes made a return at some point.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is doing extremely well with over 40 million registered players till date. Unfortunately, many members of the Paragon development team have shifted over to it, which lead to the MOBA’s recent cancellation.
