It seems the excitement for Playground, the new limited time mode in Fortnite: Battle Royale, was palpable. After the mode went live, the number of players attempting to access it led to long queue times. As a result, Playground Mode has been removed as Epic Games works on a solution.

Overall matchmaking and wait times seem to be functioning normally as of now. There’s no ETA on when Playground Mode will return but in the meantime, Final Fight Teams is available. There are eight teams of 12 players vying for supremacy and the team with the most players alive when the countdown hits zero is considered the winner.

Fortnite’s recent v4.5 patch has other new features that seem to be working well. Dual Pistols have been introduced in Epic and Legendary variants, and can be found in Supply Drops, floor loot and chests. Along with not having first shot accuracy, the pistols will fire simultaneously when pulling the trigger and utilize medium ammo.
