The latest patch for Epic Games’ Fortnite is now live and it brings both changes and improvements to Battle Royale and Save the World. Most importantly, players will now have the option to mute individual players thanks to voice chat improvements and quest item drop rates have been increased. You can also choose to uncap the framerate on PS4 and PS4 Pro though it could lead to “inconsistent performance and higher input lag” as per the patch notes.

Changes to Battle Royale include rebalanced Daily Challenges – Shotgun Eliminations have been reduced from 5 to 4, for instance, while Sniper Eliminations have been reduced from 5 to 1. The description for V-Bucks has also changed to indicate that they can be used for both Battle Royale and Save the World. You can scope out some of the other changes below or view the full patch notes here.

Fortnite: Battle Royale has become incredibly popular with Epic Games claiming over 800,000 concurrent users this past weekend (which consequently caused servers to act up). What are your thoughts on the game thus far? Let us know in the comments.
