Fortnite‘s Playground Mode, which will allow players to land on the map, and just build, test out the controls, and experiment to their heart’s content without the pressure of an ongoing game- basically the closest thing the game will have to a Tutorial Mode, which it otherwise entirely lacks right now- was originally supposed to go live last week, before Epic Games yanked it because of server issues.
Speaking on Twitter, Epic Games has promised more information about the mode to be shared later today- hopefully, we can expect a new time for the mode to go live some time later today. To be clear, this doesn’t mean that the mode will launch today- it might, but what this means is Epic will have an update on it either way later today.
Every other mode in the game remains unaffected, so you can always go play one of those while you wait. Fortnite is out now on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and iOS mobile devices.
We’ll update you with any additional information on Monday, July 2.
