With the explosive popularity of Respawn’s Apex Legends, it seems Epic Games has a counter of its own to keep Fortnite: Battle Royale alive and kicking. With the release of patch v7.40, the developer has announced that it will be giving away the Season 8 Battle Pass for free. That is, if you can complete 13 challenges before the Share the Love event ends.

Don’t worry – you have until February 27th to complete 13 Overtime challenges. Gifting will also be returning until February 22nd, so feel free to gift that special someone another item if you’re feeling romantic. The patch also adds a new Infantry Rifle, and the double XP weekend for Share the Love starts tomorrow. This means you can earn even more rewards, like a Cuddle Team Leader wrap and skin styles for Onesie, Powder, and Trog.

The Season 8 Battle Pass contents haven’t been revealed, but players are guaranteed to get two new outfits immediately. There are up to five more that can be earned, depending on how many tiers of the Battle Pass are cleared. Stay tuned for more information on when Season 8 goes live.
