Fortnite Teasing Crossover With It: Chapter 2

Fortnite continues on as one of the biggest video games in the world, with its tenth ongoing season. One perhaps unexpected aspect of the game that’s developed over the last year has been its crossovers with several other properties. The game has had several official crossovers with the likes of John Wick, Avengers, and Stranger Things, with the latest being Borderlands. Now the next one is being teased, and it’s slightly more on the spooky side.

Reddit users have been posting photos of red balloons coming up from street gutters, which you can see below. When you attack them, they pop and evil laughter can be heard. Seems like a clear reference to the clown Pennywise, and with It: Chapter 2 in theaters soon, it seems that’ll be the next crossover. If you’re not familiar, Pennywise is an evil entity that takes several forms, but its favorite and most iconic one is that of a demented clown who loves red balloons.

Fortnite is available now across all major platforms. Nothing official has been announced yet about the crossover, but they usually come pretty quickly after a tease pops up in-game, so it shouldn’t be too long until we find out what it’s all about.
