Fortnite’s Thanos Already Nerfed, Epic Will Continue “Monitoring Feedback”

Thanos' Shields and Max Health have been taken down a notch.

Fortnite Infinity Gauntlet

Epic Games threw us all for a loop when it revealed, as part of Fortnite’s superhero focus in Season 4, that Battle Royale would have an Infinity Gauntlet mode. The limited time mode would allow players to acquire the mythical gauntlet, become Thanos and wreak havoc on other players until taken down. After that, the next player to acquire the gauntlet would become Thanos until only one player is left standing.

Unfortunately, Thanos’ might was too much for 99 other players and he’s thus been nerfed. Originally starting out with 300 Shields and 800 Max Health, Thanos’ stats have been reduced to 200 Shields and 700 Max Health. The damage inflicted by lasers on players has also been reduced from 15 to 12. Shields will still be refilled on securing kills so he’s still plenty tough to take down.

Epic Games will “continue monitoring feedback” but for now, relish in the fact that Thanos is a little easier to take down. There’s no end date for the limited time mode (and no Avengers skins are coming) so try it out as soon as possible.
