Microsoft had a very impressive conference at E3 this year, showcasing a lot of new titles on their stage. However, after Crackdown 3’s delay, it seems that Forza Horizon 4 has to carry the burden to push Xbox One into the holidays. But there are a number of multiplatform games that are releasing later this year that will probably play best on Xbox One X.

Aaron Greenberg, Head of Marketing at Xbox, has acknowledged this fact in an interview with Geoff Keighley. He discussed how well their E3 conference went, as they were able to showcase a lot of exciting upcoming games along with their upcoming exclusive, the new Forza Horizon game.

There are going to to be a lot of big blockbuster games which will be releasing during this holiday season and Greenberg gave the following response regarding these games, “We already are in a great position because having the most powerful console (Xbox One X) means no matter which game you want to play, or all of the games, they are going to look and play best on the world’s most powerful console.” It’s evident from this statement that the team at Xbox believes that the Xbox One X gives them an edge when it comes to multiplatform games.

It makes sense that they are going this route because they cannot compete with Sony when it comes to exclusives, at least this year. So yes, As far as upcoming Xbox exclusives in the near future are concerned, there is the new Forza Horizon game and it looks fantastic overall but it along with better looking/performing multiplatform and Xbox One X seems to be the focus for Microsoft this holiday.

All things considered, it will be yet another slow year for Xbox fans as far as major AAA exclusives are concerned.
