Something’s up behind closed doors at Build A Rocket Boy, and like most of the news that’s surrounded the studio since it put MindsEye out on the market, it isn’t good.

A round of exits from the company has surfaced, with Kotaku reporting that several senior members of staff have taken to LinkedIn to explore opportunities, their roles having been made redundant. The news follows some truly alarming reports regarding the studio in the past, such as a scathing critique of its crunch culture from a former employee, or its French division facing judicial liquidation.

That last one has us wondering if the speculations about the studio finally shutting its doors could be true (especially since sources told Kotaku that this is the case). We’d say the writing’s kind of been on the wall if they indeed turn out to be accurate. There’s no official statement from Build A Rocket Boy yet, so waiting on that’s definitely a good idea.

As always, we’re wishing every talented individual who now finds themselves afloat in the water of an uncertain job market the very best of luck in finding the next chapter of their careers. In the meantime, head here for the latest update on MindsEye, which changed, of all things, the story.
