11 Bit Studios Next Game

11 Bit Studios of This War of Mine and Frostpunk fame is working on a new game. Today, it released the first teaser which hypes a global reveal on August 12th. A bloodied sledgehammer in a snowy landscape, a spilled oil drum and a figure on both knees can be seen in the teaser – check it out below.

The official description talks of a snowy wasteland that seems quiet and peaceful until “crimson scars” marred “the battleground for precious things worth breaking up alliances over.” There’s a lot to speculate about but the core theme seems to be fighting over oil in a post-apocalyptic, snowy setting. Could it possibly be set in the same universe Frostpunk but offer a brand experience?

Interestingly, Gamescom 2021 takes place from August 25th to 29th. It’s possible that after the reveal on August 12th, 11 Bit Studios could showcase more gameplay and details at the show. Stay tuned for more details and in the meantime, check out our review of Frostpunk here. The title is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC with iOS and Android versions in the works.
