Frostpunk’s Endless Mode Offers Two Different Options, Coming Soon

Build in peace with Serenity or face your toughest challenge yet with Endurance.

When 11 Bit Studios first released Frostpunk, it garnered a good amount of critical acclaim and commercial success. The developer released a number of free updates, like Survivor Mode and a brand new scenario, but many fans anticipated the launch of Endless Mode. Well, suffer and/or rejoice – Endless Mode is out in the next few days, completely free for current owners.

In a new dev diary, senior marketing manager Karol Zajaczkowski revealed what Endless Mode has to offer. The expansion took some time to develop, because the developer wanted to do more with it. To that end, Endless Mode offers two options – Endurance and Serenity. The former is about surviving against all odds and promises a challenge for veterans.

On the other hand, Serenity is more forgiving, with more resources, less harsh weather, and a deeper focus on managing one’s city. Both modes will receive new buildings, like the Archives for keeping lore and other information. Along with new sites to find, there are also new random events to keep players on their toes.
