After the awesome first episode of Tales From the Borderlands, Telltale Games has released the first episode of its adaptation for Game of Thrones. “Iron From Ice” is available now for both current and previous gen consoles, and the first reviews for the game have begun to land up.

Some are positive like IGN who praised the characters, decision making and the ending while The Escapist enjoyed the art style and voice work despite the lack of any real ground-breaking mechanics. Some reviews are supremely above average though with The Jimquisition believing this to be a strong start to the series, though the characters could require some more personality in the coming episodes.

Destructoid awarded the game a 7 out of 10, praising the game’s place in the lore despite some issues. PCGamesN didn’t enjoy it much though citing the lack of “gripping protagonists” and how it’s “basically a re-run of HBO’s show.”
