#17. METROID: SAMUS RETURNS

Developed By: Nintendo, MercurySteam | Available On: 3DS | Read Our Review

metroid samus returns

Not only is Samus Returns the first true Metroid game in years, it’s also a return to the classic 2D side scrolling game design that the series made its name with. It features the same ingenious level design that Metroid fans have become accustomed to, while adding notable new mechanics that thoroughly improve its combat. Metroid: Samus Returns is so good, it makes the Metroid fans is us want to pinch ourselves, just to make sure we’re not dreaming. Even this late into its life cycle, the 3DS continues to deliver excellent titles- we tip our hat to it.
