Duke Nukem Forever has been thrown around from developer to publisher and back and forth to different companies so many time, it seemed the game would never see the day of light. Gearbox has promised its development and release as well as stressing how important it is that a demo gets released before the game actually comes out. Gearbox announced that they had obtained the rights to the IP from original developer 3DRealms at this years PAX event. Duke Nukem Forever will be out some time next year for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC.
