More delay news, hooray! This time, Take Two Interactive took the chance to announce during its earnings report for the quarter ending on September 30th that Gearbox Software’s Battleborn has been delayed. This is the MOBA/FPS hybrid featuring 25 playable heroes along with co-op, campaign and competitive multiplayer modes from the minds behind Borderlands.
Originally slated to release on February 9th 2016, the publisher announced that Battleborn would release on May 3rd. There wasn’t much reason given for the delay aside from Take Two wanting Gearbox to “full realize [its] creative vision.”
Currently, closed technical tests are on-going for Battleborn and it will have a public beta in early 2016 for PS4, PC and Xbox One (though this will come to PS4 first). Battleborn isn’t the first major title to see such delays – Mirror’s Edge Catalyst was originally slated to release in February 2016 but will now be out in May.
