The Coalition’s next major Operation for Gears 5 will be out on December 11th. Currently undergoing certification, Operation 2: Free For All will bring Free for All Deathmatch to the game as a featured playlist before adding it to Ranked mode in January 2020. Check out the trailer below.

Free For All will allow for 14 players to fight and reach the 30 kill score limit. Three new maps – Pit, Core and NetherCutt – are being added to support the mode. There’s also Arcade Blitz which mixes up the different objective-based modes with different objectives. If that weren’t enough, 2v2 Gnashers is also being added with Boxes and Foundation Mid as new maps.

Five new characters will also be added as part of the Operation, starting with Lizzie Carmine and Damon Baird. Then there’s Jermad, a Locust Drone who experiences less recoil with DeeBee weapons and the Kantus. The Kantus will arrive in early 2020. Players will also have six new Hives, 27 new tiles for building their own and two more Arena maps in Allfathers Arena and Lift.
