Last year’s Gears 5 saw the latest installment in the beloved action series and managed, for many, to give the franchise a much needed shot in the arm. You’ll even be able to play it on the upcoming Xbox Series X, too, with improved graphics and framerate. But the party isn’t over, as the game has continued to get support well after launch. We have now got details on the newest Operation, Gridiron.
Operation 3 is named after the newest mode, Gridiron. It is a single life capture the flag mode where you must capture a neutral flag and hold it in enemy territory for five seconds. The update will also include returning characters such as Augustus Cole, Clayton Carmine, Queen Myrrah, and Theron Guard. Along with all that comes new maps, cosmetics and achievements. Gears 5 is available now for Xbox One and PC. Operation 3: Gridiron will launch on March 31st. The strategy-based Gears Tactics, which you can read more about here, is also coming soon, so don’t forget to check it out for your next Gears of War fix.
