As Gears 5 approaches its imminent releases, the hype surrounding the shooter continues to ramp up. With combat encounters inspired by BioShock: Infinite and open world design inspired by God of War, this is looking like the evolution that Gears of War has been in need of for a few years now. And to hype up the game even more, Microsoft have now released a meaty chunk of gameplay footage from its campaign.
The video showcases a mission from Act 2 of the game, as Kait and Del head to an Outsider village to enlist the help of an old ally, before the village is attacked by the Swarm. As you may have guessed, a fierce and intense firefight ensues. Take a look below- be warned, though, the video contains some story spoilers, so you might want to skip this one if you want to go into the game blind. With its launch not far away, that might not be such a bad idea.
Gears 5 is out on September 10 for the Xbox One and PC- you can get plenty of new details on its campaign through here. Reviews for the game start going live tomorrow, so stay tuned.
