The first tech test for Gears 5’s multiplayer goes live soon, and Microsoft and The Coalition have released a new trailer to give us a glimpse of what’s in store for us. The trailer promises high octane action, weapon upgrades, plenty of carnage, and more. Check it out below.

Gears 5’s tech test runs from July 19 to July 21, and pre-loads for it will be going live tomorrow. Meanwhile, a second tech test is also scheduled to be held from July 22 to July 26. The tech test will give players the chance to try out two maps, Bootcamp, Tour of Duty, and three multiplayer modes: Arcade, Escalation, and King of the Hill.

To be able to participate in the tech test, you need to either hold a pre-order for the game, or be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass (or Game Pass Ultimate) on Xbox One or PC. If you’re playing on PC, you can check out the system requirements for the tech test through here. It’s been confirmed that Gears 5 Versus will run on 60 Hz servers, so this should be a good opportunity for both the players and Microsoft to see how that’s turning out.

Gears 5 is out on September 10 for the Xbox One and PC. Be sure to check out extensive Versus gameplay footage through here.
