Gears of War Ultimate Edition

The Coalition’s Gears of War: Ultimate Edition has finally gone gold in the lead-up to its release in August. The remaster of the first game is also available to pre-order and pre-download in the Xbox Store with two different versions – Standard and Deluxe.

The Standard Edition will cost $39.99 and features the full game, pre-order items like Adam Fenix and Civilian Anya characters for multiplayer along with the Animated Imulsion Weapon Skin. The Deluxe Edition will retail for $59.99 and includes the original game, the Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack for 10 animated weapon skins and 36 standard weapon skins, and Civilian Marcus Fenix along with Aaron Griffin as multiplayer characters.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition may be classified as a remaster of the first game but it features a significant overhaul to the visuals beyond 60 FPS and a 1080p resolution including reworked textures and far better animations. It’s out on August 25th for Xbox One so stay tuned for more information.
