Ghost Recon Breakpoint has had some odd marketing material, specifically with a cartoon trailer that felt tonally off. Nevertheless, on the day of release, Ubisoft has revealed a live-action trailer that showcases the harrowing battle between Ghosts and Wolves. Check it out below.

The plot of the game is fairly straightforward. Ex-Ghost Cole D. Walker goes rogue and seizes Auroa archipelago along with SkellTech, a heavy drone manufacturer. When the Ghosts arrive at the archipelago to investigate, they’re caught in a fight for survival against the Wolves, Walker’s new unit.

Before launching worldwide for PC, Xbox One and PS4, Ghost Recon Breakpoint found itself mired in controversy with its in-game store containing heaps of microtransactions. Ubisoft recently removed the “time saver” bundles like Skill Points, crafting materials and weapon upgrades, though they’ll return in the future. In the meantime, we’ll see how the current game pans out over the coming months.
