With the next Ghost Recon reportedly in dire straits, it seems Ubisoft is going back to the well to cash in on the franchise. But instead of the more recent Breakpoint, it’s apparently Ghost Recon Wildlands.
As discovered by a user on the game’s subreddit, the Definitive Edition will apparently receive “major update” that will add 4K and 60 FPS support on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. There’s also seemingly a new mission called Last Rites. So if you already own the Definitive Edition on PC, the latter will probably be free for you.
Otherwise, the Definitive Edition includes the base game, the Season 1 and 2 Passes, the Deluxe Pack, the Cold Eye Pack, and the Nightfall Protocol Pack. You also get the Quick Start Pack, which includes two weapons, three weapon attachments, a resource pack, one Skill Point, and an XP booster.
With how quiet the rest of the year is looking for Ubisoft, especially since it pushed back several of its upcoming games, it makes sense to revisit one of its more successful titles to draw in new players. It wouldn’t be the first time – see Tom Clancy’s The Division receiving 60 FPS support on PS5.
