God of War 2

Sony had a fairly strong showcase for the PlayStation 5 but just when it seemed to end the show with the price and release date, it had one last thing. It was the announcement of the next God of War, releasing in 2021. Not much was revealed, save for the words “Ragnarok is coming” and Kratos warning players to prepare themselves.

There’s not much more to go off of, unfortunately. However, for those who played God of War on PS4, the coming of Ragnarok makes sense. Thanks to Kratos’ actions in the previous game, the event is actually slated to happen earlier. The only thing that seems to be a given is Thor having some kind of role.

So there you have it – God of War 2 confirmed for PS5 next year. Stay tuned for more information in the meantime. The PlayStation 5 is out this November though and the first God of War will be playable on it at launch through the PlayStation Plus Collection.
