God of War 5 Will Also Be Set in Norse Mythology, Sony Confirms

In case you wanted more confirmation.

God of War

Sony has stated multiple times that the next few God of War games will follow the story of Kratos and his son, and be set in the world of Norse mythology—but in case you wanted more assurance of that either way, here you go. Speaking to Finder, Sony has confirmed, yet again, that the next God of War game will also be set in the world of Norse mythology.

Of course, without know what the direction of the new story is going to be, it is hard to guess at where Sony Santas Monica may want to go with the next few games. The Greek mythology God of War games saw Kratos steadily killing every major (and minor) god in the Greek pantheon; in God of War on the PS4, he looks to be a far more moderate and tempered person, and so far there is no indication he will go on a rampage to take out Thor or Odin, for example.

Hopefully, questions about the direction for future God of War games will be answered when God of War launches exclusively on the PS4 on April 20.
