SCE Santa Monica is gearing up for E3 2013, and will reportedly be announcing a new game at the event according to a report on VentureBeat.

It will reportedly be streaming the announcement on Twitch live this Tuesday, June 11th. The developer is also set to reveal some new content for God of War Ascension as well. As of now, expectations are high that this will be God of War 4, or at the very least, a brand new IP. We’ll have to wait till find out.

As for God of War: Ascension, which released earlier this year for PlayStation 3, it didn’t exactly set the charts on fire like its predecessors. This is despite featuring an all-new quest and multiplayer mode, along with, well, being friggin’ God of War.

Stay tuned for Sony’s E3 media briefing as well. Given SCE Santa Monica’s hand in designing the PS4, it wouldn’t be above them to put in an appearance there as well.
