Earlier in the year came the surprising announcement that 505 Games would be publishing the PC version of Death Stranding. Considering the amount of marketing Sony put into the game, as well as the use of the Decima Engine and the help of several developers from first party company Guerrilla Games (not to mention publishing it), many assumed the game was basically a first party game. With that announcement, many have wondered if other titles could be coming soon. Well, there’s nothing official, but it seems God of War Director Cory Barlog digs the idea.
When asked on his official Twitter account about a PC version of the acclaimed God of War, he said he loves the idea. Of course, it’s up to Sony at the end of the day, and apparently he doesn’t think he has the pull of Kojima to make it happen. With the line between consoles and PCs blurring, it does seem inevitable that the barriers between Sony and PC will fall in the same way it did for Microsoft.
God of War is available now for PlayStation 4 and maybe someday it’ll also be available on PC.
You know, I would love that. It is, sadly, a decision far above my paygrade. As is proven on a daily basis, I am no Kojima.
