#35. HERMES (GOD OF WAR 3)

More of a chase than a boss fight, the Hermes encounter in God of War 3 gets bonus points for its unique hook, and the solid execution of that hook. Chasing the Olympian speedster through a thrilling set piece leads into a mano-a-mano brawl- which, of course, culminates in Kratos brutalizing Hermes, killing him, and chopping off his legs so he can use his boots. God of War 3’s wonderfully excessive gore shines through once again here, and it’s amazing.
