God of War Gets New Video Explaining the Combat System

The Ghost of Sparta’s rage still burns...

The new God of War looks to be an incredible game- moving away from the fixed camera action focus of the original games to a slower paced, over the shoulder, more exploration focused game, with slower combat as well. But that doesn’t mean God of War is any less brutal, or that the action will be any less satisfying.

In fact, this new video that Sony has shared on the official PlayStation YouTube channel explains just what you can expect from the combat system in the new game- and it sounds like it will be even more visceral and satisfying than the combat in the older games was, if you can imagine that.

God of War is actually over a month away from release- it comes out on April 20, exclusively on the PlayStation 4. But if you need to fuel your hype until it does, the video below should suffice to some degree.
