The reinvention of Sony’s God of War launched to much critical acclaim last year, winning the most Game of the Year awards across most media outlets by a large margin to any other game released last year (which is quite something when you realize Red Dead Redemption 2 came out that year, too). Without a doubt, it was certainly an interesting and risky move, as the game changed the mythology that previous titles feed off of, as well as the gameplay many knew. Now, it seems the development team is going to pull back the curtain on the game’s making, with a behind-the-scenes documentary chronicling its development, called “Raising Kratos”.

Via YouTube, Sony have released a trailer for the documentary, which you can see below. The video features several behind the scene bits, like the motion capturing process, as well as the game’s voice actors interacting with each other. It’s set to Game Director Cory Balrog’s monologue on the artistic struggle of doubt. Though it’s not stated how long it will be, it’s said to be a “full-length feature documentary,” and will be on the PlayStation YouTube channel at some point this year.

God of War is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 4, and you can check out our take on the game here.
