God of War Looks Utterly Gorgeous in New Screenshots

Visually pleasing and technically stunning.

God of War

God of War looks to be a glorious reinvention of its franchise, and a breath of fresh air that will bring Sony’s former flagship tentpole series into the new generation. And, much like previous games in the series, it also looks like it will be absolutely visually stunning.

Don’t believe me? Well these screenshots, that you can see for yourself below, should hopefully convince you. They show off a broader color palette, with visually and aesthetically pleasing locales, more than any previous game in the series has until now- except maybe God of War 2, on the Isle of Creation.

It is also technically amazing looking- when I thought that the PS4 couldn’t look any better than Uncharted 4 and Horizon: Zero DawnGod of War comes along and challenges that notion squarely to its face. Seriously, it is a fantastic looking game.

God of War launches on PS4 exclusively on April 20.
