After years of dipping its toes in the market, it seems like Google is finally ready to jump into the tumultuous waters of the gaming market. We know they have scheduled a gaming focused keynote for this month, coinciding with GDC 2019, where they may reveal a brand new console and/or a brand new streaming service.

However, whatever this keynote ends up being, Google is really intent on us taking it seriously. Today, they have shared a brand new video that teases the upcoming event, promising us an unveiling at “Google’s vision for the future of gaming”. As long as said vision isn’t streaming and/or mobile only, I don’t think anyone else will mind a brand new big entrant in the gaming market at all.

Of course, this gives Google the jump on rival Apple, who are also rumored to be looking into properly getting into the gaming market. Whether or not either their or Google’s interest ends up being a long term project remains to be seen.
