Gran Turismo 6, launching exclusively for the PlayStation 3 this December, is set to include a new wrinkle to its extensive car collection and realistic visuals: microtransactions. It is also available now on the PlayStation Store for pre-order.

According to a post on the PlayStation Blog EU, Sony has stated that, “From launch at retail you’ll find a new option for building your ultimate fantasy car collection. In-game credits will be purchasable through PS Store or your friendly local retailer at the following denominations: 500K, 1 million, 2.5 million or 7 million credits which you’ll be able to apply in-game for cars and parts.”

You can order either the standard and special edition version of Gran Turismo 6, with the latter to include 20 bonus cars, avatars, race suits, helmets and more along with the Precision DLC pack. If you pre-order the standard version, you can at least be assured of the Precision DLC for free.

Gran Turismo 6 will be launching worldwide on December 6th.
