Gran Turismo 7

Polyphony Digital and Sony have officially released the “Tracks” trailer for Gran Turismo 7, which goes behind the scenes with Kazunori Yamauchi . The series creator outlines the process of developing a track – how the capture team visits the track and uses a high precision laser scanner to capture the surface in granular detail.

Yamauchi feels that the team has achieved a level of realism that is “tangible” and also talks about how different lighting conditions and weather can change a track completely. He also noted that his favorite track is Nürburgring and though it hasn’t been outright confirmed, it’s a safe bet considering its presence in the past few Gran Turismo titles (including Gran Turismo Sport).

Gran Turismo 7 is out on March 4th 2022 for PS4 and PS5. Yamauchi previously confirmed that it would have the most number of parts for tuning in the series yet. You can learn more about that here.
