Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising - Versusia

The next update for Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising arrives on August 20th, adding Versusia as a new DLC character and balance adjustments for the roster. However, Cygames also confirmed (via Gematsu) that it adds Part 3 to Story Mode, “When Tomorrow Comes,” expanding on the tale of Rein. As previously teased, it sees Gran and Djeeta battling Versusia.

The publisher also confirmed the new mini-game for Grand Bruise! with Slime Blaster. The mechanics are seemingly straightforward, as players must earn points and qualify for the next stage by defeating as many Slimes as possible within the time limit.

The new lobby mini-game is Robomi: Epic Clash, where players must time their button presses to take down enemies. It seems akin to Samurai Kirby, though whether it offers similar challenges – like progressively stricter timing with each opponent – remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more details when the update goes live.

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is available for PS4, PS5, and PC. Check out our review here. After Versusia, the final DLC character for the current Character Pass is Vikala, out in October. Character Pass 2 is also in the works and features Sandalphon, though a release window has yet to be confirmed.
