Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass has continued to grow in popularity and size on a near-constant basis, and currently boasts a large, impressive, and diverse collection of games. Now, it’s added yet another title to its ranks- and it’s a big one. Microsoft has confirmed that Rockstar’s open world behemoth, Grand Theft Auto 5, is available now on Xbox Game Pass.

For now, Microsoft have only confirmed GTA 5 for Game Pass on console, but there’s a good chance that it will eventually be added to Game Pass on PC as well. Grand Theft Auto 5 is, of course, is a game that refuses to die, with a massive playerbase that has stuck around, and sales that refuse to slow down (the game recently crossed 115 million units shipped).

Rockstar have also made it clear that they have no intention of stopping support for GTA Online anytime soon, so the game’s probably going to be a major attraction for many for the foreseeable future. Having it available for free(ish) via Game Pass is a pretty big deal, considering all that.
