It was more than a year ago that Grand Theft Auto 5 first launched for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Rockstar Games had promised that heists, the most involving missions of the campaign, would be arriving for Grand Theft Auto Online in due time. At this point, we’re not much closer to heists being released.

That being said, Rockstar Games promised IGN that heists would be coming “soon” and that it wouldn’t be limited to the PS4, Xbox One and PC versions. This is hardly surprising seeing as how for all the improvements that the current gen versions will be receiving, it’s still the previous generation platforms that have the highest install base (34 million and counting).

Regardless, heists aren’t here and the wait continues but at least Rockstar hasn’t given up on the same. Grand Theft Auto 5 will be out on November 18th for the Xbox One and PS4 while the PC version is due to arrive on January 27th 2015.
