Last month, Rockstar Games confirmed that it would finally be unveiling Grand Theft Auto 6 in early December, and now that we’re in early December, the company has revealed the exact date the long-awaited title’s announcement trailer will premier.

Taking to Twitter, Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be formally unveiled next week, on December 5, Tuesday, at 9 AM ET. Interestingly enough, the announcement was made with a teaser image showing palm trees against the backdrop of a sunset, which strongly suggests that GTA 6 will be set in Vice City – the series’ fictional take on Miami, Florida – as leaks have been claiming for years.

Of course, with The Game Awards set for December 7, many had assumed that that was where Grand Theft Auto 6 would take the stage and steal the show, but Rockstar has always liked to play by its own rules, so this doesn’t come as a massive shock.

Either way, it won’t be long before we’ve got our first look at the next Grand Theft Auto game (at long last), so stay tuned for continued updates and coverage.
