Spiders’ next big role-playing game, GreedFall 2: The Dying World, is perhaps its most ambitious yet. Picking up three years later, it focuses on a Teer Fradee native forcibly sent to the old continent of Gacane with disease and war tearing the world apart. However, fans of the first game can expect some links.
In a new Steam post, the developer confirmed that you meet “certain common characters” – like Mev, who acted as Teer Fradee’s top-most spiritual authority – and even hear “some events and elements happening in the first opus.” That won’t be the story’s focus, but there could be some potential cameos.
While GreedFall 2 will have new companions, players can still engage in romances. Spiders confirmed there are “more options” than in GreedFall due to more companions, but it doesn’t want to spoil anything. Though it couldn’t confirm how long early access would last, it did note that the price would be lower than when the game launches.
GreedFall 2: The Dying World launches into early access for PC this Summer, but it’s also coming to Xbox Series X/S and PS5. Stay tuned for more details en route to launch.
