Codemasters and EA recently fully unveiled GRID Legendsproviding new details and gameplay details for the upcoming racer. During the reveal, they also detailed their post-launch plans for the game, as well as how they’re going to be handling monetization.

As far as the latter is concerned, GRID Legends won’t have any microtransactions- but post-launch content is still going to require players to shell out extra cash. Those who own the game’s season pass (which will also come with the Deluxe Edition) will get access to four post-launch seasons that will drop at regular intervals across 12 months after the game’s release. Each of these will bring new modes, tracks, story content for the new Story Mode, and more. Meanwhile, the Deluxe Edition will also come with the Mechanic Pass, which will bring a mileage boost multiplier for all of your vehicles.

Those who don’t want to spend additional cash on the Deluxe Edition or the season pass, however, will still get access to some post-launch support, with with free weekly and monthly challenges and rewards being promised.

GRID Legends is due out on February 25, 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
