Horizon PS4

It’s fairly known by this point that Guerrilla Games are working on an open world sci-fi role playing game exclusively for the PlayStation 4. The project is reported to have a working title of Horizon and as the leaked image above suggests the game will have animals and different types of creatures. Guerrilla Games have been tight lipped regarding the progress of the project however a couple of job listings give away a few interesting tech details about the game.

The development team is currently looking for a Animation Systems Programmer who will be able to improve and extend the animation technology of Guerrilla Games. The developers are also looking to further improve character movement, character interaction with the environment, hit responses, facial animation, procedural animation and in-game cut scenes.

If you read closely, all these requirements are mostly found in role playing games and that is precisely what Guerrilla Games next big game is going to be. I am hopeful that this new IP will be shown off at Sony’s presentation at E3 this year.

Of course, this may not be related to the new IP at all but the details match up pretty well. Regardless, take this with a grain of salt and stay tuned for more news and updates regarding Guerrilla’s new PS4 exclusive.
