Supergiant Games has released a new patch for Hades 2, further adjusting and reworking various Boons and Blessings. Though smaller, the team wants to address “issues we’ve observed since our previous patches” en route to the first big content update. Mild spoilers ensue below, so beware.
Some changes include increased damage with the Sister Blades when striking enemies from behind, improved targeting with Zeus’s Lightning Lance on gamepad and a rework for Spirit Surge, which strikes a nearby enemy after unleashing a magick attack.
Hera’s Engagement Ring will now inflict Hitch on enemies, with those slain dealing damage in an area. Family Trade is also out, and Rousing Reception is in, causing Casts to damage enemies as soon as they appear. Duo Boons like Golden Rule and Beach Ball have also received damage boosts, the former multiplicative while the latter gains more damage and area scaling during its charge. There are also numerous changes and new additions to the Daedalus Hammer upgrades.
Check out some of the patch notes below and full details here. The first major content update for Hades 2 arrives later this year. Stay tuned for updates, and check out our review of the early access title here.
