Halo 4 will be receiving three DLC map packs from now till April next year. Release dates and names of the map packs were leaked on the German Dashboard of the Xbox 360, showing the following map packs and their release dates:

  • Crimson Map Pack: Releasing December 10th
  • Majestic Map Pack: Releasing February 25th
  • Castle Map Pack: Releasing April 1st

These were spotted by Halo Council forum member xJumPeR_JumPzZ (thanks, MP1st).

The ad on the German Dashboard lead to this screen:

When translated, it reveals the map packs’ release dates. It also mentions that all map packs will be included in the Halo 4 War Games Season Pack, which, of course, was expected anyway.

In our Halo 4 review, we said it was “bigger, better-looking and addictive as hell” and awarded it a 9/10.

“Any fears that Bungie’s departure and the return of one of gaming’s most iconic characters would be detrimental to this follow up have been allayed,” reads our review. “Halo 4 is an essential purchase and a definite contender for Game of the Year.”
