Halo 5 Guardians

Halo 5 is getting some pretty major new DLC for the month of December. 343 Industries took the stage to detail all the free DLC that the game will be getting- and it’s some pretty major stuff. The Forge Mode finally returns to Halo with this DLC, as well as new REQs, and new maps for Warzone and Arena modes too.

The DLC is called Cartographer’s Shadow, and it follows in the footsteps of November’s The Battle of Shadow and Light DLC. 343 Industries also confirmed their intention to continue supporting Halo 5 as a service, which means we can probably expect more content, paid and free, coming for the game in the coming months.

Halo 5: Guardians launched exclusively for the Xbox One in October. Though the game was lacking in content compared to previous Halo games at launch, 343’s exemplary support for the game since then has really managed to add a substantial amount of content to the game, and all for free. Kind of hard to even begrudge it its microtransactions at this point.
